This is for the folks that got hooked on sourdough during (you know when). There is nothing that can beat a slice of freshly baked bread that is still warm. This cuts 1 inch at the largest part of the bow giving nice even slices. This bread knife is made from pecan wood at just shy of 15 inches long and weighs 4.5 oz. This is one of my favorite pieces! See it isn't just any pecan wood, this is what is called "Spalted" wood. And that is all those amazing black streaks and spots you see all up the wood. It is formed while the tree is alive and a certain type of fungus lives in the wood. When the tree dies its left with scars from where it used to be. I am in love with these type of pieces! You will see them every so often in my collection.
Now if there is something you want made with Spalting included that will be a custom or commission piece, and the wait time can be up to 2 weeks.
